"Your fears and insecurities about various aspects of your life are actually helping to shape your Reality.  You fear there won’t be enough, therefore there isn’t enough.  You fear your business shall suffer; therefore, it is suffering.  The Mind is the most powerful tool Divinity gave us, besides our own Free Will that only allows us to make up our Minds about what we are to do with our lives.  The Mind shapes Reality."

~ St. Michael, the Archangel, as channeled by Nefer Khepri Hemet, October, 1998.

The Universe is always in a state of flux, Creation, if you will.  So, when we imagine how something might be, the Universe works to comply with our internal visions.  Therefore, if you think fearful, negative thoughts, that is what you shall manifest for yourself.  If you focus on positive things, eventually you will attract those things into your life.

It’s very difficult to change the way our mind works, but it can be done.  I know because I’ve done it, and many others just like you have done it as well.  Think of it as “Wish Fulfillment” magick.  What you do is train your mind to see the situation not as it actually is – lack of money, all that debt, worried about the bills, relationship not working, whatever.  No.  Train your mind to see yourself debt-free, happy, healthy, in a great relationship, and so on.  This is what I did with my Internet business and within 3 short months of starting it, I began averaging quite a nice amount of money for my monthly income.  The more positive I visualized my business, the more money I attracted to myself, the more clients found my site and decided to use my services.

Another example from my life occurred long before I knew anything about Magick.  Yet in looking back on it, I definitely was practicing a kind of “mind magick”, and I wasn’t aware that I was doing anything special.  I had a long-standing wish since I was a small child.  That wish was to go to England.  I’ve had 6 past lives there alone and when I would see movies filmed there I would cry because I’d get so homesick.

From about the age of 6 I began imagining what a trip to England would be like.  First of all, I’d have all the money I needed.  That was important.  Second, I imagined how wonderful the plane ride there would be.  I saw myself sitting in First Class on British Airways reading a menu & deciding what I would have for my meals on the plane.  I imagined myself talking to the passenger next to me, whom I visualized as a faceless businessman going to London on business.

As for the trip itself, I gave myself two weeks and since I was, and still am, such a King Arthur fan, I decided I would see all the places connected with the legendary King Arthur as well as the places connected with the real Arthur, of whose existence in Reality, even at that early age, I was firmly convinced.  I imagined myself at places like Stonehenge, Avebury Circle, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, walking around in the English countryside, and so on.  I also added 4- and 5-star hotels to my visualization.  I might as well go in style, right?  My parents knew of my desire, but couldn’t help me because we were very poor.  But that didn’t bother me because I knew if I just wished hard enough, if I could just see myself there, then one day it would all become real.

I began this visualization exercise in 1969, when I was just 6 years old.  I graduated grad school with my MA in Anthropology in 1989.  Twenty years later.  As a graduation present that my parents had obviously saved up for a very long time, they asked me, “What would you like?  A decent used car or an all-expenses paid 2-week trip to England?”

Now, I really desired to have a car of my own.  However, that trip to England had been a life’s dream and finally it was within my reach.   I opted for the trip, naturally.  Mom had found one that was a guided tour by an expert on Stone Circles and King Arthur, the theme of the tour was “The Real and Legendary King Arthur.”  Not only did I get to see EVERY SINGLE place that I had visualized myself visiting, but we stayed in all 4-and 5-star hotels.  I flew coach on British Airways, not First Class as I had envisioned, but a businessman was seated next to me & we had a delightful conversation over several hours.  I also got to choose my meals from a menu, just as I had visualized.  Overall, I can honestly say those were the 2 best weeks of my entire life.  I got to return to my spiritual home, I saw every single place and ruin I had always desired to see, and even got several bonuses – like a ghost in my hotel room when we stayed in Plymouth!

When I returned home I was able to tell my parents and all my friends that my 20-year-old dream had finally come true, and that it came true almost exactly as I had envisioned it would.  So you see, your mind is extremely powerful.   You just have to learn how to use it in order to affect your own Reality.

I have since used this same method of visualizing positive outcomes in order to manifest my wonderful husband, our fantastic daughter who really is exactly what I focused on (perfect in every way!), our brand new house (as of 2003), awesome 11th row center tickets to see  Paul McCartney (back in 1993), increased health for my knees, great neighbors on all sides of our house & extending outward for 2 - 3 houses, and the latest:  a great new job for my husband that is exactly what he's desired for the past 11 years (2006).

There are a number of very good books on various methods of “Positive Creative Visualization.”  They are listed below, and I do hope, that if you haven’t already, that you make the time to read them.  I have and I can vouch for the effectiveness of the approaches the authors of these books present as I have used them with tremendous success in my own life.

First of all, I highly recommend ANYTHING written by Shakti Gawain.  Her books were among the earliest mass-published books on creative visualization.  Do a search on her at Amazon.com.

Secondly, anything by Louise Hay.  Known for her  pioneering work in popularizing the use of Positive Affirmations (positive statements you repeat to yourself out loud a number of times throughout the day), Ms. Hay's work remains among the best, even years after their initial publication.  She has text books published as well as work books, all of which are extremely useful and uplifting.

Divine Guidance, by Dr. Doreen Virtue.   This isn't really a book on creative visualization or positive thought, but they are two strong undercurrents that run through the entire text.  This is a book on how to access Angelic Energy for guidance and help.  I can honestly say that this is one of those very rare books that completely changed my life when I read it.  I never realized how easy it is to work with Angels and how quick they are to help us manifest our needs and desires.  I recommend this book to everyone.

Ask and it is Given, by Esther and Jeremy Hicks.  Channeled information from a Guide or Ascended Master by the name of Abraham, the authors have worked with this Guide extensively over the years and have published his views on how to manifest the life of your dreams.  They include methods of focusing your mind and exercises you can do in order to help bring about the type of reality you desire.  They have since come up with a follow-up book,

More titles forthcoming as I read the books!
